Journal 109 End of Feminist Detour

Hello girls.

I want to talk about a topic I have long wanted to talk about. I have started so many files over the past year trying to talk about it, but didn't get it out.

I want to talk about how I got on a feminist track and how I got off of it.

But for now I'll be brief and skip to the end and try to say it in a succinct way.

One of my biggest reasons for getting off this track is hypocrisy.

Sometimes we are manipulated and we can stay that way for a long time. But maybe when we see hypocrisy, it irks something deep in us and we are able to leave that mentality. No one wants to be used.

As a teenager, I hated feminism because I felt I couldn't be a girl. Then in my early twenties, with the internet, it finally made its way into my heart.

There were many topics I was concerned about, and somehow, they all got lumped into feminism.

But to be part of feminism means going in a direction you might not agree with.

I started noticing that the head honchos of feminism did not practice what they preached.

I still care about the same topics, feel the same way about them, but now they just seem like basic human stuff.

"Basic human stuff" doesn't sound as sexy in writing or talking, but that's how people get wrapped up in things I guess. Shiny flashy difficult advanced-sounding things can easily turn a young person's ear.

Humans are the same now as they were thousands of years ago. Everything has already been solved. Every type of person has already been around. Everything has already happened.

The media is full of news that sets our brains on fire, but newspapers rarely report on human genetic modification, research into three-person babies, research into artificial wombs, surrogacy, IVF, selective abortions, and gene selection.

But these concern our most fundamental rights as babies, women, and men. Sex, reproduction, family, and health are the deepest parts of us.

Well, I am happy to have shared my thoughts. I hope any of it is relatable for anyone.

Please have a super nice week ahead and thank you for reading!
