Journal 88 Black Friday Shopping
Today I did some shopping. Although it wasn’t Friday, there were still lots of Black Friday deals, so there was still lots of hubbub.
The only reason we went out shopping today was because a Lego set that someone wanted was selling out everywhere, except in a store near us. We went early to buy it, almost as soon as the store opened.
I had never been to this mall before. I didn’t think Black Friday was as big of a thing anymore, but it was very busy. There was even a line outside of a store!
I was nervous that they would sell out, so I ran through the mall to get to the Lego store, which was on the opposite side of the mall. I felt like such a dork... I showed up panting and sweating, “Do you have any more of the Star Trek Enterprise?”
Enterprise secured, we went back to the car, and saw some crazy stuff. The parking lot was insane! People were fighting for spots. A man asked if he could take our spot as soon as we exited the mall. One person claimed a parking spot by standing on it. But that sent a woman into a rage and she started screaming and drove really fast through the crowded parking lot. Some cars were parked on the curb. It was madness!
We scooted out carefully and headed to Ikea. I don’t think Ikea had any Black Friday deals, but there was some great stuff on clearance! We got a Billy bookshelf and some small wares, and managed to keep it under $150. I also learned that they don’t sell batteries anymore.
We hit a few more stores. I got some new Micron pens at Michael’s with a Black Friday discount and a coupon too. I also happened to earn a free chocolate Santa from Lidl. Score!
So it was a very productive day!
Thank you for reading and please have a good week!
