Journal 84 Updates

Hello girls!

Today I will share some updates on the many endeavors I have started.

Family house beautification:

Earlier this year I had the idea of operating this house more like a facility, and it has produced good results.

I realized we need like ten more trash cans around here. We do not have a good outgoing waste system in this facility.

Researched trash cans, found model I like, but currently it is not available from a good seller.

Must sell idea of trash cans to seniors. Usually this involves some creative salesmanship. I hate it. This is not my thing. I just like being honest: “There is too much shit here.” But after over a decade of experience, I know this will have a negative effect on progress. Must sell idea in tailored way: “Look at this great deal I got buying trash cans in bulk. I don’t know what to do with these few extras though. Think you want to try them in your room? It’ll make it easier for you to sort your recycling.”

Bedroom redecoration:

Working on assembling Rast dressers. I have gotten much better at assembling them. Last time I made a mistake: I didn’t follow the instructions. You’re supposed to screw in the braces one side at a time. I made the mistake of fitting on the other side then screwing the screws in.

Currently three are assembled and they look sooo good lined up in a row. I wish I could do more but there is so little time.

Used book collection:

I just missed purchasing my Laiva armada while it was on sale months ago. Now I am considering the Billy bookshelf series.

I don’t just like Ikea for the design and price. It’s also the safety standards for the materials and good clean protective packaging. Also, the contents are very clean. The materials are clean and even the hardware is usually clean! I really appreciate this because it can be hard to clean hardware. I don’t want metal dust or shavings getting all over.

(Though I’m NOT happy about soft or upholstered things not coming in plastic bags anymore. Of all the places to cut plastic, why do companies always go for the hygienic liners? How about using an alternative material?)

Oven saga:

The oven was actually no longer under warranty. We changed the starter. It was very interesting. It’s so interesting to see how these things work. The oven is now working great.

Clothing search:

Purchased last year’s model of shorts I have in a new color on sale. SCORE! Purchased a cute pair of all-cotton pants. Usually pants have been more scarce for me, but lately tops have been more scarce.

Hope you enjoyed these updates! Thank you for hanging out with me and hashing out many things together.

I hope you are well and please have a good good good week ahead.
