Journal 83 New Glasses, New Old Books, New Browser

Hi girls.

I had an exciting thing happen this week: I got new glasses! It was a record turnaround from when I needed new glasses to the moment new glasses came in the mail. Usually the process takes me months.

My eyeglass prescription got better for the second time! Yay! I tried to choose frames that went with my face shape. It seems even for eyeglasses, I had to shop in the men’s section hahaha. And unlike with my last pair, this time I properly measured the distance between my pupils, nose bridge, and distance to the ears.

I have been wearing my new glasses for a few days and they have been great!

Also, some used books that we ordered came in the mail! Two cookbooks and one traditional skills book. Look how nicely they were wrapped and the note:

Another update is that I have been using a new internet search engine, Kagi. The usual search engines have just been too much. So far, Kagi has been very nice. I have liked the search results. It also includes access to many different AI services. I have been exploring them, trying to see what could be good and useful about AI. Kagi also has good language translation services. That part has been super fun to play with. You can select many different language skill levels and other configurations including formal or informal tone, and male or female speaker. This can be very useful when learning a language.
