Journal 58 Planning Ikea Haul

Hello girls.

How was your week? How are you doing?

I am planning on an Ikea haul. What do you think I should get? I think the $25 Laiva bookcases have become one of my favorite Ikea products. But I try to avoid fully loading the shelves so they don’t bow, interspersing books with nicknacks. Also, I hear your shouldn’t stand books upright without bookends, so if you don’t have bookends, you should stack them flat. I’m excited to see my used book collection have a nice place.

I also want more wooden dressers, and a few washable rugs. I’ve also been looking for some kind of washable soft storage basket, but strangely, I can’t find something like that anywhere! Maybe I can crochet one?

And I have a bit of an issue. A fun issue. I’m planning on changing the position of my bed, because the polyurethane on the floor is coming off so badly in the highly trafficked areas. Moving the bed will cover most of the bad spots. But then, the head of the bed will be exposed to multiple drafts. What should I do?

Another fun thing: I am changing to king size duvets! My bed is a queen, but queen size duvets have not been big enough. My feline takes most of it. With a full size washing machine, the change is now possible so I am super excited.

I am a little over halfway through The Karamazov Brothers. It is certainly solid. Phew!
