Journal 53 Beads, Skullcap Tea

Hello there.

How was your week?! Are you enjoying the changing of the seasons? Has it “crossed over” into summer for you?

The other day, my partner’s mother had a coupon for the craft store, so we went and purchased some beads. I virtually never wear jewelry, but I do enjoy making beaded bracelets. Maybe it’s also pleasurable because beads are such an ancient human decoration? But as always, I do worry about the quality of the beads. The plastic beads can have intense chemical smells, and I worry if the metal or glass ones contain lead.

I finally gave in and ordered some skullcap tea from Amazon. The brand I wanted only sells from there. For a long time, I drank the “Stress Ease” tea from the brand Traditional Medicinals, made with skullcap, cinnamon, and licorice, but they have discontinued it. I don’t think it’s an overestimate to say that stress-easing and adaptogenic teas helped me survive some very tough days. I highly recommend organic medicinal herb tea for when you are having a tough time.

Canada’s election is tomorrow. I hope you have a good election day, neighbors to the north.

Please have a good week!
