Journal 113 Heat, Italian, Appliances
It has been so hot. Can you call them heatwaves anymore or is this just the new normal? I open the windows at night and close the shades during the day. But it is a balancing act between the temperature and humidity. Each day is different.
Since I can’t run the washing machine and aircon at the same time, I have been hand-washing clothes. It works out because we have so few clothes that it’s hard to get enough stuff for a load, if sorted properly. It has caused a lot of arguments on under-loading the machine haha.
Have been fiddling with AI. I have a few thoughts to share later.
I have been put-putting along learning Italian. I like to watch older movies because people spoke more clearly, same as other languages. And of course, children’s shows.
I am adjusting and trying to understand everything. I have probably done many things strangely, but I try to integrate and adjust. Nothing compares to having an Italian spouse as a cultural reference, but there are still so many little details in everyday life that I am learning.
It is heavenly to be surrounded by so much beauty and art.
Also having fun learning about all of my euro-appliances. The wall-mounted toilet fascinates me. Of all the things to make wall-mounted...
