Art Post: Practicing Drawing Earth

Hi everyone. 

I did the earth part of the series today. Instead of the pretty mineral, I chose this picture since I wanted a more generic-looking rock.

It still wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. I just imagined one of those yellow-orange rocks that they throw around in Avatar: The Last Airbender! I came across so many other beautiful photos of rocks that I want to revisit this topic again later. A beautiful illustration of a rock can elevate a fantasy-themed illustration.

I think this is my weakest one so far. But I learned a lot drawing it and know what I would do differently next time.
