Art Post: Okay, I Need A Drafting Table (And Many Mirrors)

I think that I finally need a drafting table. I think having a physical art space will finally give me some stability. It’s too hard to set up shop every time I have a few free hours.

And I can gather all of my art supplies and books into one place.

I have also needed different kinds of mirrors for a long time.

Here is my list:

Drafting table
Stool
3 Full size mirrors on wheels
3 Table mirrors
1 Table mirror that tilts
Backdrop
Bookcase or filing cabinet

This is new to me. I don’t usually interact with any other artists or creatives, so I have been learning everything by myself as I go. There are lots of educational art materials out there, but what has actually helped me tremendously is observing how other artist work. Mostly from old books and old videos. It makes me feel less crazy and isolated. I like to see what their work day looks like, what visual aids they use, their quirky aids like television, stuff like that.

So for a while, I have realized my need for all these different objects even if it seems kind of crazy.
